Enter the Deluxe Sleeping Platform—designed for campers who want a little more luxury and ease in their setup.

While we find our standard cushions comfortable, if you are someone who desires more support or prefers memory foam, this is the perfect upgrade for you. Both our standard cushions and the deluxe cushions are comprised of a high density foam and come with removable covers, but this upgrade offers a luxurious layer of memory foam on top.

🛏️ SLEEP Mode

While our standard cushions will definitely do the trick, this upgraded platform is for those who want firmer support or love the feel of memory foam. Here’s what makes it beneficial:

• 3.5” total thickness: Compared to our standard 2.5″ cushions, the Deluxe cushions provide that extra bit of plushness.
• 2” high-density foam base + 1.5” memory foam topper: The perfect blend of structure and softness.
• Removable cushion covers: Easy to clean and maintain.

🛻 Drive Mode

🧳 No More Cushion Tetris

One of the most common sticking points with the standard bed slide? Figuring out where to stash the cushions when you’re not sleeping. For our standard sleeping platform, the large cushion that fits in the overcab can live there permanently – it makes up roughly half of the sleeping area. The other half is comprised of 3 smaller cushions, which nest tightly together on the bed slide when it is deployed. To close the pop top and enter drive mode, you must remove the 3 smaller cushions, slide the bed slide back into the overcab, and then close the top. After removing the 3 smaller cushions, they must be stored down below. They are broken up into thirds to make them easier to handle – but also with the idea that they could be used as seating down below. With the Deluxe upgrade, ALL cushions stay in place on the sleeping platform when you close the pop top down—no need to shuffle or store them elsewhere. 🙌

While blankets, comforters, and pillows still need a home (we recommend a simple Rubbermaid bin!), the cushions can remain on the bed platform whether you’re parked, sleeping, or driving.

To switch into Drive Mode, simply:

1. Place the three smaller cushions on top of the bed slide.
2. Slide it to the rear using the built-in casters (via the bed track system).
3. Pop the top down and secure it as usual.

Done. Ready to roll. 🛻

🏕️ Camp Mode

When you’re inside the camper hanging out—but not ready to hit the hay—just slide the bed slide forward into the overcab area. It functions the same way as our standard bed slide in Camp Mode. The 3 smaller cushions can double as back rests in your lofted reading nook too! And when it is time to sleep, setting up your bed follows the same process. Pull the bed slide out from under the overcab cushion, slide it along the bed slide rails, and the bumper will stop it just in time to locate the correct positioning.

Already own a Hiatus Camper? Good news—this upgrade is available for both current and past customers. While we recommend professional installation at our shop, it’s also a great DIY project if you’ve got a drill, a rivet gun, and a positive attitude. 💪
